To get the most from your trekking poles, make sure they’re set at the right height for your body. When adjusted correctly, walking with poles feels natural—incorrect height can cause shoulder or back strain.

→ Handy Tip: Your elbow should form a 90-degree angle when the pole touches the ground as you walk on level ground.

For uphill walking, shorten the poles by 5–10 cm. On downhill stretches, it’s also a good idea to reduce the length by 5–10 cm for added control and comfort.
